Every remanufactured engine from CrossTown is tested. Our Engine testing machine rotates the engine at 450 RPM so that we are able to check the remanufactured engine for oil pressure, compression, oil leaks, the movement of vital engine components and VVT where applicable. This quality control process is done prior to the engine being sent to the installer.
I was tasked with finding an engine builder to remanufacture a Suzuki 2.7 Litre V6, but it’s important to note that the motor was not intended to power a car of any description, but a 3/4 scale P-51 Mustang home-built airplane! Entrusting an airplane engine project with a builder requires a very special confidence, and Lou and his team at Crosstown approached the project with enthusiasm, applying their years of expertise and professionalism to return the motor to like-new condition. Completed on-time and as quoted, the engine was installed into the Mustang, and after a few hours of ground testing, is currently undergoing test flying protocols. Many thanks to Lou and his team!

You and your staff installed a rebuilt 4.3 Vortek Engine in my 93 GMC Jimmy back in mid-2005. Since then I have travelled over 100,000km with absolutely no problems. I have made numerous trips to Myrtle Beach South Carolina, and as well to Chicago, Detroit, Red Lake in Northern Ontario (near Kenora), and numerous trips to Sudbury, Ontario (numerous fishing trips up north all over northern ontario) and also Ottawa, Ontario and also New York City (3 times) with nary a problem. I expect to keep it a few more years and will be doing some body work on it shortly. I would highly recommend you and your staff to anyone who is thinking of having their engine rebuilt.

Wow..talk about getting total satisfaction from a re-manufactured engine. awhile back we had a 4.3V6 Vortec engine installed in our 91 GMC Safari minivan at Crosstown Engine Remanufactures, that engine had 400,000 kms on it when the van was sent to the wreckers, and the body was repaired twice. not only that the engine was still in excellent condition. and the years we had it after the installation. it passed every emission test and started every time in below zero temperatures. it also never stalled on us, if we could only get that kind of satisfaction from all things in life. now we're back with our 92 lumina apv for another re-manufactured engine, and we're sure it will be in excellent running condition and when its time for this van to be sent to the wreckers...Thank you Crosstown for keeping us happy and mobile

Simply great service by crosstown engines staff, i have repaired my mercury outboard motor that had a minor issue with one of the engine parts. It's been two months now and motor works better then when i first got it.
i did my research on the web and came across crosstown engine's web site, i called to discuss my engine build, after our conversation i made an appointment to go and see this shop. Wow!! after checking out the shop i was very impressed with the amount of engines and work being done, i checked out the engine dyno that they have, and all the racing engines on site,, Crosstown built me a killer 347 ford stroker engine for my 65 mustang,, if you wanna see a first class operation check these guys out!!!
i'm in the tool and die industry, so i see lot of machinery, and let me say that i'm very impressed with all the equipment and engines being built at your shop! the 454 engine you did for my boat is awesome!! im also happy that i found someone that has the facility to dyno test and tune my engine before i put it into the boat
